Before the sign went up, there was Justin Rootham — J-Roots to his clients. He didn’t just want to cut hair. He wanted a room where men could walk in, feel at home and leave looking their best.

Rooted opened in Whitby in 2022. Word spread, the team grew, and in 2024 the whole shop moved to a bigger home at 15 Simcoe St S in Downtown Oshawa.
